Rueben Cain

Rueben Cain enlisted August 22, 1862 into Company D, 134th New York Volunteer Infantry. He was wounded at Gettysburg, again at Rocky Face Ridge in Tennessee, lost a finger at Resaca, Georgia, and wounded in the back from a shell fragment at Savannah Georgia. He rejoined his regiment after recovering from each wound. He was discharged on June 10, 1865. Photograph and information submitted by Charles (Corky) Reed, Cousin to Rueben Cain.
