Joseph Lockwood

Photos from the PastJoseph W. Lockwood Joseph W. Lockwood of Hinsdale, New York. He was enrolled at Cuba, New York on March 22, 1862, at age 22, as a Private in Company H, 27th New York Volunteer Infantry. He transferred to Company E, 121st New York Volunteer Infantry, 2nd Brigade, 1st Division, 6th Army Corps in May 1863, and served with them, including the battle at Gettysburg, until honorably discharged at Welford's Ford, Virginia on April 22, 1864. He was a pensioner and died on September 16, 1927. He is buried at the Abbotts Cemetery, Town of Ischua, Cattaraugus County, New York.
