Annual Lincoln Tomb Ceremony

All are invited to participate in the 69th Annual Lincoln Tomb Ceremony, sponsored by the SUVCW and MOLLUS, commemorating the 160th Anniversary of President Lincoln’s death. It will be held at the Lincoln Tomb in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Springfield, IL at 10 AM on Saturday, April 12, 2025.

Headquarters Hotel: Ramada by Wyndam Springfield North, 3281 Northfield Dr., Springfield, IL 62702. The room rate is $109.00. This includes complimentary breakfast and free parking. Call 217-523-4000 for reservations and mention “Sons of Union Veterans”. Reserve your room by March 22, 2025. After this, the remaining blocked rooms will be released.

Wreaths may be ordered from local Springfield florists. Instruct the florist to have the wreath delivered c/o the Lincoln Tomb, Oak Ridge Cemetery, Springfield, by 9 AM on Saturday, April 12th.

Luncheon venue: VFW Hall, 2349 Stockyard Rd.  Meal will be Buffet style, including beef, chicken, pasta. green beans, mashed potatoes, side salad, rolls, and butter. Cost $35.00. Reservation Form is located below.
