Cornelius F. Whitehouse Award

Private Cornelius F. Whitehouse (11 Aug 1831 - 23 Nov 1913), at age 31, enlisted on August 16, 1862 in Company B., 15th Regiment, Kentucky Volunteer Infantry.  He is the great-great grandfather of Allen W. Moore PCinC, 1993-1994.

After serving about 18 months, he contracted typhoid fever in a march between Franklin and Nashville, TN, and was discharged because of disability. 

Whitehouse married Lucinda Woods on September 4, 1859. They had three children, Isaiah, Lon H., and Malinda Jane
