William R. Brown

Private William R. Brown was born in 1831. He served with the 97th Pennsylvania Infantry from October 17, 1861 until he transferred to the 80th Pennsylvania, G Company. He was mustered in November 4, 1861 and he mustered out with the rest of his company Augugst 23, 1865. He is wearing his Grand Army of the Republic uniform in the picture.
