William Franklin Dunaway

William Franklin Dunaway was enrolled on October 25, 1861 and mustered on January 19, 1862 at Louisa, Kentucky into Company G, 22nd Regiment Kentucky Volunteer Infantry. He was mustered out of federal service on January 20, 1865 at Louisville, Kentucky. After the war, he joined the Grand Army of the Republic, E.P Mavity Post #28, located in Petersville, Lewis County, Kentucky. The Dunaway family owned the Dunaway Tabernacle where the Mavity Post #28 met. Benjamin Franklin Dunaway, is buried in the Esham Cemetery (Civil War union side), Petersville, Lewis County, Kentucky.
