Stephen F. Cummings

Stephen F. Cummings was born in New York. He was a resident of Hopkinton, Iowa and 36 years old when he enlisted on July 2, 1863 into the 4th Regiment Iowa Cavalary. He was commissioned as Lieutenant and Assistant Surgeon into Field and Staff, 4th Regiment Iowa Cavalry on July 20 1863. He was mustered out of service on August 10, 1865 in Atlanta, Georgia.
