He served from February 20, 1862 to August 3, 1863. He died in 1886 and is buried at Line Cemetery, South Killingly Rd, Foster, Rhode Island.
George Henry Burgess (son of Samual Burgress) was born in 1843. He served from Providence, Foster and Clayville, Rhode Island and also in 1st Regiment, Battery E, Rhode Island Light Artiller. His service dates were from February 20 to November 5, 1862, when he received a medical discharge. He was a member of the Grand Army of the Republic. He died in 1916 and is buried at Clayville Cemetery, Rt 102, Foster, Rhode Island.
