Robert Davison

Robert Davison was born in Northumberland, England in 1830. He came to America with his father and brother in 1850. On October 12, 1861, he enlisted and was mustered as a Sergeant into Company I, 62nd Regiment Ohio Volunteer Infantry. He was 31 years old at this time. On December 9, 1864, he was commissioned as a 1st Lieutenant in Company C. On September 1, 1865, he transferred to Company F, 67th Regiment Ohio Volunteer Infantry. He was mustered out of service on December 7, 1865 at City Point, Virginia.

Robert Davison was first married to Leah Moore who died in 1874 and later to Martha Gorby DeVolld. Both Robert and Martha died on March 19, 1910 within 30 minutes of each other, he of acute bronchitis and she of apoplexy. They are buried at Sarahsville, Noble County, Ohio.
