Perry G. Smith Perry served in the Civil War as a Private in Company E of the 35th Regiment Pennsylvania Volunteers under Captain Bacon. He enlisted June 29, 1863 and due to an injury was discharged Augusugt 7, 1863 at Harrisburg, Pennsylvania Perry was 27 years of age at enlistment, was 5'6", dark complexion, dark hair, dark eyes. He was a blacksmith by trade.
