Paul LaFontaine

Paul LaFontaine enlisted when he was 20 years old on December 8, 1861 at Rochester, New York as a Private. He was mustered into Company C, 100th Regiment New York Volunteer Infantry on December 12, 1861. He was promoted to Corporal on May 2, 1864. He was wounded at the Battle of Seven Pines (or Fair Oaks, Virginia) also injured at Morris Island, South Carolina. He re-enlisted on January 15, 1864. Paul LaFontaine was mustered out service on August 28, 1865 at Richmond, Virginia. Photograph and information submitted by Paul Lafontaine's great great great grandson, John LaFontaine.
