Parnick Johnson

Parnick Johnson was born March 13, 1829 in Roane County, Tennessee. He married Sarah Jane Barnard on July 10, 1849 in Tennessee. They moved to Missouri before 1851. He lived in Mt. Vernon, Lawrence County, Missouri at the time he signed up for the War. On August 12, 1862, he enlisted as a Private into the 76th Regiment, Enrolled Missouri Militia. He was ordered to active service on August 15, 1862. He was relieved from active service due to disability on February 5, 1863 after 172 days of service. On April 30, 1864, he again enlisted and was ordered to active service on September 25, 1864. He was relieved of active service on November 15, 1864 after 50 days of active service. He died in Ava, Douglas County, Missouri on July 20, 1917. Photograph and information submitted by Parnick Johnson's great great great granddaughter, Michele Sensano.
