Nathan McDonald Kemp

Nathan McDonald Kemp, Edward Elemuel Kemp, and Joseph Warren Kemp

Nathan McDonald Kemp was born 1830 and died 1912. During the Civil War, he served as Captain of Company C of the 6th Tennessee Cavalry. After the Civil War, he served as the long-time Commander of GAR Post 7 in Adamsville, Tennessee. He is buried (#3613) at Shiloh National Cemetery. Prior to his death, he served as Master of Ceremonies annually on decoration day at Shiloh.

Edward Elemuel Kemp (brother of Captain Nathan McDonald Kemp - see above) was born October 15, 1844 and died January 24, 1925. He enlisted as a Private on the same day as his brother, Warren (see below), and just two days after Captain Nathan Kemp. During the Civil War, he also served in the 6th Tennessee Cavalry. He rose to the rank of Sergeant.

Edward Elemuel Kemp

Joseph Warren Kemp (brother of Captain Nathan McDonald Kemp and Edward Elemuel Kemp - see above) was born May 31, 1840 and died July 23, 1926. He enlisted as a Private in 1862 and rose to the rank of Sergeant by his discharge in 1865. During the Civil War, he also served in the 6th Tennessee Cavalry.
