Newell Hicks Newell Hicks was 28 years old when he enlisted on August 19, 1861 as a Private in Company B of the 29th Regiment of the Ohio Volunteer Infantry. He was mustered into the regiment on September 7, 1861. He was mustered out of service at Atlanta, Georgia on September 9, 1864. Photograph and information submitted by S. HICKS1865.
