Levi Nale From an old Dubois, Pennsylvania newspaper clipping. The caption reads "Comrade Levi Nale, this section's last surviving GAR veteran, favored his picture in a zouave uniform shown above over any other pictures of himself in uniform he may have had. He had an aversion to blue suits and at GAR conventions was conspicuous among the men in blue by his brightly colored civilian clothing. Levi was the last surviving member of the Easton Post, Dubois, Pennsylvania. He died November 1, 1943." Photograph and information provide by Levi Nale's grand nephew, Roger Nale .
