Lewis H. Easterly Lewis H. Easterly at the 73rd and 75th GAR Encampments. He was elected to the position of Grand Army of the Republic (GAR) Inspector General at the 75th Encampment. Apparently he was a drummer boy in the Battle of Shiloh.
