John Thomas White

John Thomas White enlisted 8/29/1862 at the age 35. He was in Monroe Hollister's Company E of the 140th New York Volunteer Infantry. He survived the charge at Saunder's Field only to be wounded in the face three days later at Laurel Hill. He was listed as being sick when his company was mustered out of service in June 1865. He was a member of the Patrick O'Rourke Grand Army of the Republic Post #1 in Rochester, New York until his death in 1903.
