James Henry McEwen James Henry McEwen was born October 8, 1840, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and died Sepeptember 18, 1937. He is burial in Mount Washington Cemetery in Kansas City, Missouri. He served in Company A, 85th Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry. He served for three years, three months in the war and was honorably discharged at Pittsburg, Pennsylvania November 22, 1864. He had been disabled some what in his right wrist. He was a member of McPherson post of the Grand Army of the Republic, Department of Missouri.
