Captain Joseph Groff

Captain Joseph Groff served in Company B, First Regiment, Home Brigade of the Potomac of Maryland from August 1861 to September 1864. He was in the Battle of Harper's Ferry, September 1862 and was wounded in the leg at the Battle of Gettysburg on July 3, 1863. He was a member of General J.F. Reynolds Grand Army of the Republic (GAR) Post #2 of Frederick, Maryland, after the war.
