Photos from the PastJoseph Brunais Joseph Brunais enlisted January 15, 1864 at Oswego, New York in the 16th United States Infantry, Company B. He was 28 at the time of his enlistment. He was discharged January 15, 1867 after his three year enlistment was up. Joseph Brunais was a member of Grand Army of the Republic (GAR) W.S. Dodge Post 132 (Department of Iowa). He died in 1908 in Nashua, Iowa. He is buried in Greenwood Cemetery in Nashua, Iowa and has a GAR marker beside his headstone.
