James Biggins

James Biggins, born June 25, 1834 in County Mayo Ireland, served as a Private in Company C, 2nd Regiment U.S. Sharpshooters (Berdan's). He was wounded in action June 16, 1864 at Petersburg, Virginia. He was an active member of the Grand Army of the Republic, belonging to the J.R. Jones Post 156 in Eldred, Pennsylvania and serving as an officer of that Post. He died November 28, 1916 and was buried at St. Mary Cemetery, Sartwell, McKean County, Pennsylvania.
