Colonel James Brown Forman

Colonel James Brown Forman was the Regimental Commander of the 15th Kentucky Volunteer Infantry. Colonel Forman was known as the Boy Colonel. He was the hero of Perryville, Kentucky when he saved the Regimental Colors during the battle and used them to rally the troops. He was killed at Murfreesboro on December 31, 1862, only two weeks after his 20th birthday. Photograph and information submitted by Colonel Forman's cousin (4 times removed), Stephen David Forman.
