James A. Nevel

James A. Nevel enlisted on December 4, 1864 as a Private in Company F, 143rd Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry. He was 21 years old at that time. He was wounded during the Battle of Petersburg, Virginia on June 25, 1864 (severe wound in left arm resulting in amputation). He was discharged as a result of his wound on March 29, 1865.
