Henry McCollum

Henry R. McCollum Henry R. McCollum served with Company H, 2nd Wisconsin Volunteer Infantry. Henry was part of the Iron Brigade, also known as the "Black Hat" Brigade. He enlisted June 15, 1861. He was killed in action July 1, 1863 in the morning hours of fighting in McPhersons Woods at Gettysburg. He was wounded in the abdomen, but lived for several more hours. He is buried in grave B-13 of the Wisconsin plot in the Gettysburg National Cemetery. P.S. I have the family history of these McCollum's.
