Major G. W. Rue

Major G. W. Rue was born Harrodsburg, Mercer County, Kentucky, June 8, 1828. From 1846-1847, he served with 2nd Kentucky Infantry. During the Civil War, he served as a Major with the 9th Kentucky Cavalry. He was a member of Grand Army of the Republic Post #96 in Ohio. Photograph and information provided by T.
