The Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War (SUVCW) carries forward the traditions of the Grand Army of the Republic by promoting good citizenship, leadership, education and service. Through educational and recognition programs, the SUVCW encourages young people who demonstrate achievement, commitment to their communities and an understanding of the responsibilities of citizenship.

ROTC, JROTC and NDCC Recognition
The SUVCW recognizes deserving cadets who demonstrate patriotism, academic achievement, leadership and a commitment to service. Our Cadet Recognition Program provides opportunities for SUVCW Camps and Departments to recognize students participating in ROTC, JROTC and NDCC programs.

Eagle Scout Recognition
Earning the rank of Eagle Scout represents a significant achievement in leadership, citizenship and community service. The SUVCW honors Eagle Scouts with a special congratulatory letter and Certificate of Commendation in recognition of their accomplishment.

College Scholarships
The SUVCW supports eligible students as they continue their education through its national scholarship program. Scholarships recognize academic achievement, community involvement and a commitment to the values represented by the SUVCW and the Allied Orders of the Grand Army of the Republic.
