box full of the records, along with miscellaneous publications of the
National and State headquarters, several letters, and even a couple of medals
worn by members of the GAR." The
collection was discovered in a box, and almost every item in it had been
shreaded or torn. The contents of the
collection were described by Dayton Kelley (Mary Hardin-Baylor College) in an
article in the Waco Tribune-Herald, 29 Jan. 1967, pg. 8C. |
