Two ledgers involving the Grand Army of the Republic (GAR).
Volume one include General Orders from the Headquarters of the Second
Brigade, Stahel's Cavalry Brigade. It also includes minutes from the GAR.
Volume two are the records of General John F. Reynolds, Post No. 2 GAR, Dept.
of MD. There are also two folders of
miscellaneous scrap papers that were in the front of the ledgers. An online finding aid is available. NOTE (from Larry Moore): This is one volume book that starts at the
Civil War and continues into the 1880's.
The minutes book has plenty of information along with a treasurer
report, secretary report, order of grave stones. There is no index to this book, it does
contain a membership list. |
