It is with deep sadness that we report the passing of Real Son Harold A. Becker on August 7, 2016 in Grand Rapids Michigan. He was 99 years old. Br. Becker was a member of the Gen. John A. Logan Camp, No. 1 (Grand Rapids, MI) SUVCW. He was known to be the last known son of a Civil War Soldier in Michigan.
According to Commander-in-Chief’s General Order No. 29, we will drape all Charters and membership badges in black for a period of 30 days.
According to our records, there are only 5 remaining Real Sons left.
