Holby G. Farnsley
Charles L. Guild GAR Post 121

Private Holby G. Farnsley served with 81st Indiana Volunteer Infantry from December 1863 to June 14, 1865. In the photo, he is with his GAR Post, Charles L. Guild Post 121, Medaryville, Indiana. The photograph was taken circa 1894 in Medaryville, Indiana. Holby is in the fourth row, 1st in row from left with hat looking to side. Also if you look hard in background there is a young boy posing with them in a tree, probably wishing he was one of the brave vets posing or just being a boy. Photograph provided by Michael Farnsley, descendant of Holby G. Farnsley and member of SUVCW William T. Sherman Camp #93, Department of Ohio.
