Joseph Green Walker

Joseph Green Walker was born January 23, 1831 in Chillicothe, Ross County, Ohio. On September 17, 1864, he enlisted as a Private at Tiffin, Ohio into Company C, 180th Regiment Ohio Volunteer Infantry and served under Captain Moses Abbott. He was mustered out of service on July 12, 1865 in Charlotte, North Carolina.

After the war, he became a member of J.W. Ash Grand Army of the Republic Post #679 in Kansas Ohio. He married Sylvia Ann Harris on September 4, 1856 and they had six children: James B., Eldora, William, John, Anna, and Joseph Albertis (Bert) Walker. Joseph died at the Soldier's Home on July 13, 1909 in Erie County, Ohio. Photograph and information submitted by Joseph Green Walker's Great Great Great Grandson, Carlson Craft .
