Charles Frederick Shedd, Sr.

Charles Frederick Shedd, Sr. was born June 2, 1842, in Dayton, Ohio, and died February 21, 1922. He is buried in Wyuka Cemetery, Lincoln, Nebraska. He was a Private in the West Missouri Volunteer Engineer Regiment. As a result his service, Mr. Shedd suffered inflammatory rheumatism and paralysis of the left arm, and was honorably discharged on October 14, 1862, due to disability. He also had two brothers in the Civil War, one of whom died at Vicksburg May 22, 1863. Photograph and information submitted by Jo Rice.
