Malachi Whipple Coe

Malachi Whipple Coe was a farmer at Eureka, Polk County, Wisconsin when he enlisted on June 9, 1861 and was mustered on September 6, 1861 as a Private in Company F, 1st Regiment Wisconsin Volunteer Infantry. He was later promoted to Musician. He was mustered out on October 13, 1864 at Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In 1864, he married Ms Margaret Whitlock and had five children: Claudia Elizabeth Coe (1866 - 1884), Charles Casper Coe (1867 - 1943), Edgar Allen Coe (1871 - 1964), Adeline Coe (1873 - 1919), Pearl L.
