John Weber

John Weber enlisted and was mustered in on November 29, 1861 in New York, New York as a Private in Company C, 12 New York Volunteer Infantry. He was 18 years old. On June 23, 1863, he was transferred from Compamy C to Company D. He was discharged as supernumerary on June 30, 1863. Durning his military career, he was promoted to Drummer. His service record is recorded on his headstone.

The second is a picture of John Weber attending the Grand Army of the Republic (GAR) National Encampment in Toledo, Ohio on August 31 - September 5, 1908. He is pictured on a souvenir postcard that he sent to his wife with a picture of the GAR Hall in the background and the GAR ribbon on the front.
