George Thomas Silvers

George Thomas Silvers enlisted on August 11, 1862, into Company K of the 94th Ohio Volunteer Infantry at age 23 and was discharged with the rank of Private on February 1, 1865. He was married to Native American, Willow Morningstar, aka Rhodilla Shaner, who was found by Reverend Shooks by the bodies of her murdered parents in 1849. She was seven years old and was taken in by Frederick and Polly Shaner.  Photograph and information submitted by his third great-grandson, Brian Joseph Mexin, Ben Harrison Camp No. 356, Department of Indiana, Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War.
