Ferdinand De Courcy

Ferdinand De Courcy enlisted in the U.S. Army on December 22, 1857 as a Private in Company K, 2nd Regiment United States Infantry. He was discharged on May 14, 1861. The same day, he was commissioned into the 13th Regiment United States Infantry, as a 2nd Lieutenant. He was promoted to promoted to 1st Lieutenant on October 24, 1861, to Adjutant on October 1, 1862, and Captain on November 21, 1865. He remained in the Army until February 24, 1891.
