Emile Mettetal
Sergeant Emile Mettetal Sergeant Emile Mettetal enlisted in Company I, 24th Michigan Infantry, on August 12, 1862 at the age of 19. He was missing in action at the Battle of the Wilderness on May 5, 1864. He is presumed to have drowned while returning as a Prisoner of War on steamer, General Lyon.
