E.B. Rogers

E.B. Rogers was born in Virginia in 1842. On April 27, 1861, he enlisted at Newburg, Virginia in what became Company D of the 3rd West Virginia Volunteer Cavalry, W.W. Averell 4th Seperate Division. After the War, he became a resident of Hamilton, Butler County, Ohio. On June 2, 1911, a Butler County Newspaper, The Daily Republican-News, published a letter from Rogers in regard to his enlistment and contained two photograghs - one taken in 1861 and the other in 1911. Unfortunetly, neither photograph was suitable for reproduction. The photograph shown here is from an 1896 Butler County, Ohio History. Photograph and information submitted by T. Fazzini, Camp #91, Ohio Department, SUVCW.
