Dr. Albert Wilson

Dr. Albert Wilson was born Shelby County, Ohio September 14, 1826. He graduated from Ohio Medical College in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1851. He served as a Surgeon with the 1st Ohio Volunteer Infantry from April 1861 to July 1865. According to an 1883 biography, he was first volunteer from Sidney, Ohio within 48 hours of President Abraham Lincoln's message of war. After the war, he was a Charter/founding member of the Grand Army of the Republic Neal Post #62. In 1871, he was married to Irene Ayers.
