Almeron J. Patchin

Almeron J. Patchin was born in Osage County, New York. On November 2, 1861, he enlisted, for three years, at Mt Vernon, Ohio in Company E, 20th Ohio Volunteer Infantry. He was 24 years old and a teacher by profession. On January 1, 1864, he re-enlisted. He was discharged on February 27, 1865 from the General Hospital at Camp Chase, Ohio. He had been wounded previously (July 22, 1864) in action near Atlanta, Georgia. He died on January 12, 1906 and was buried in Oswego Cemetery Labette County, Kansas.
