Adam Shaffer

Adam Shaffer was born in 1825. He was the son of Samuel Schafer/Shaffer, Sr. and Rosina (Fuchs) Fox. He was married to Polly Haring/Herring (1826 - 1900). He enlisted and was mustered on August 25, 1862 as a Private into Company B, 78th Regiment Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry. He died on January 19, 1863 at Field Hospital, Tennessee. His wife is buried in the Temple Reformed Cemetery in North Free, Pennsylvania. Photograph and information submitted by Adam Shaffer's 1st Cousin (4X Removed), Reta Young.
