Thomas Bradley Monument to the
War Dead of the 124th New York State Volunteers. It was dedicated on
September 5, 1907 and is located on Main Street in Goshen, New York. It was
renovated in 2007 on it centennial at a cost of $80,000 by Orange County
after a multi year lobbying effort by the Colonel Ellis Camp 124 SUVCW.
Thomas Bradley was a Congressman and Medal of Honor winner from the 124th
and donated the majority of the funds for the monument. It contains the
names of the 249 men who died in service of the 124th and was sculpted by
Theo Ruggles Kitson a noted sculptress who also did many of the monuments at
the Vicksburg, National Military Park.
