Civil War Monument

This memorial is at the bottom of the steps of the old
Herkimer County Court House.

Sons of Union Veterans Camp #149 is named for Colonel Suiter.

Oak Hill Cemetery Monument

This memorial was erected by Aaron Helmer Post 401, Herkimer, NY.  It is located in Oak Hill Cemetery, Herkimer, just up the hill on W. German St, off the junction of Rt. 5, west of the village.

The inscription reads,
IN MEMORY OF
THE DECEASED
SOLDIERS, SAILORS
AND MARINES
OF THE
CIVIL WAR
1861-1865.
