MILITARY ORDER OF THE LOYAL LEGION OF THE UNITED STATES

War Papers

The Military Order of the Loyal Legion of the United States (MOLLUS) War Papers book series, containing 70 volumes in all, are comprised of first-hand accounts written by men who were active participants in the Civil War. A general index to the series can be found at War Papers Volume Index .

We have recently discovered that GoogleTM has begun a program to digitize all the volumes of the MOLLUS War Papers. We currently have several of the Google-digitized volumes linked below. Prior to our knowledge that Google was digitizing the books, we were having the individual papers from the Commandery War paper volumes transcribed (a very long and labor intensive project). Several of the individual pages that have been completed are also presented below. As Google transcribes additional Commandery War paper Volumes, we will link to them.

The original goal of the MOLLUS Commandery-in-Chief with the individual War Paper transcriptions was to make these first hand historical Civil War accounts from our Original Companions readily available to the public for free. We applaud GoogleTM for their farsightedness with their book digitization program, and in particular with their program as it relates to our War Paper Volumes.
