This page is devoted to providing organizational information and various forms and tools to help Commanderies. All of the following forms and documents may either be downloaded or printed directly or both.
Each file identified as PDF (Portable Document Format) can be printed off the Internet directly to your printer without concern as to format. However, in order for you to do this, you will need to have Adobe Acrobat Reader exisitng on your computer. A copy of Adobe Acrobat Reader may be obtained for free by accessing the following link:

Each file identified as a rtf (Rich Text Format) has been compressed (zipped) to speed the download transfer. Rich Text Formmated doucments are capable of being accessed by many types of word processing software. Still, care should be taken since your defaults on your computer may differ. After you download the file, you can unzip the selected form or document by using any compression utility program, including:
The Commandery-in-Chief can create Commandery databases from the National membership list. These lists can sent upon request to Commandery Recorders. The Commandery-in-Chief can provide the list in a variety of formats. It is important for all Commanderies to keep their records up to date and to send updates to National as well. Send requests for updated membership lists and updated membership lists to Keith G. Harrison, National Webmaster at: pcinc@prodigy.net. .
The Commandery-in-Chief annually recognizes Commanderies and Companions with awards acknowledging their achievement in a varity of areas including memberhship recruitment and contributions to the Military Order of the Loyal Legion of the United States. A description of each award, how it is determined, who is responsible for its determination, and a listing of the annual recipients may be found at:
An inventory listing documenting the location of various Commandery war papers, records and collections is available for use by members of the Order. Permission is required to gain access. Please send your request to access the list along with your name, Insignia number (if remembered), and Commandery affliation to: Keith G. Harrison, National Webmaster at: pcinc@prodigy.net. All requests will be verified against the national membership database before access is granted.
MOLLUS graphics are available for use by members of the Order for newsletters, stationery and other official business such as Commandery Web pages. Permission is required to gain access. A new document (October 2005) has been prepared the the Registrar-in-Chief that should be extremely useful to Commandery Registrars and other officers who help applicants complete herediary applications. Genealogical Data for All Generations:
Birth and Death certificates may be enough. Vital Records.com has information on how to order birth, marriage, and death certificates from any state (some states have on-line order forms). County records, obituaries, census, and county histories are also good resources. USGENWEB has links to all the states which have links to all the county websites.
Officers' Military Service:
This may be found in many ways including pension files, reference books, the 1890 US Veterans Census, etc. Broadfoot has published a series of index books based on the NARC muster rolls organized by state that are also in many larger libraries.
