The following was an Abraham Lincoln Poster/Essay Contest that was held for Grand Rapids Public School students – Grades 5th, 8th, and 9th grades. The contest was kicked-off on February 12, 2009 with entries to be turned into teachers by March 2, 2009. Winners were chosen on April 1, 2009. An awards program was conducted at the Grand Rapids School Board meeting on May 4, 2009.
