The following photographs were taken during the May 30, 1922 dedication ceremony of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington DC. At the request of then President Warren G. Harding, the Military Order of the Loyal Legion of the United States (MOLLUS) was responsibile for the arrangement and coordination of the initial dedication of the building on May 30, 1922. The MOLLUS has been responsible for the annual commemorative ceremonies ever since. The annual ceremony, which takes place on the birthday of Abraham Lincoln, February 12th, commemorates the life and contributions of our 16th President to our county.
